Leo “Jabber” Winston Burgess

Funeral services for Konawa resident Leo “Jabber” Winston Burgess, 68, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at High Springs Baptist Church. The Revs. Kellos Walker and Dorsey Nero will officiate. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. 

The first wake service is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Konawa. At 4 p.m. Wednesday, Mr. Burgess will be taken to High Springs Baptist Church for the second wake service, scheduled for 7:30 p.m.  

Mr. Burgess died Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center in Ada.
