Ada — MARIE HICKEY

ADA — Services for Mae Marie Hickey, 92, Ada, are 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at  Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. David Sutton officiating. Burial follows at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Hickey died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013,  at a Plano, Texas, nursing home. She was born Dec. 2, 1921, in the Pecan Grove Community south of Ada to Abram S. and Lillia Howard Dew. She attended Pecan Grove grade school and graduated from Latta High School.

She married Willard C. Hickey Feb. 7, 1947, in Ada. He died Nov. 12, 1990, in Ada.

Mrs. Hickey was employed with the Ada Evening News in the classified advertising department for more than 30 years. She and her husband were longtime members of First Free Will Baptist Church in Ada.

Survivors include her daughters, Carol Davis and her husband, Skip, of Richardson, Texas, and Nancy Osborn of Knoxville, Tenn.; three grandsons; two great-grandsons; a sister, Mamie Lou Frazier; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Lily Dew; her husband, Willard C. Hickey; brothers, James Dew, Orvin (Doc) Dew, and Frank Dew; and a sister, Minna Lee (Bea) Falvo.

Bearers are Thurman Rinehart, Johnny Thompson, James Presley and James Mouser.
