Mill Creek — JOAN CLARK

MILL CREEK — Services for Joan Clark, 77, Mill Creek, are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Pentecostal Holiness Church in Mill Creek with the Rev. John Clark officiating. Burial follows at Mill Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Mill Creek. She was born Dec. 20, 1935, at Reagan to Meredith and Ruth Scott Bailey.

She grew up at Mill Creek, where she graduated from high school. She worked as a cook at Mill Creek High School and Murray State College. She had also worked at the sewing factory in Tishomingo, Sulphur and Madill. She was a member of Mill Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She married Doak Clark at Ardmore Dec. 4, 1954. He died Feb. 2, 2005.

She was also preceded in death by her parents;  the parents who raised her, Ward and Minnie Scott and John and Ila Clifton; a brother, Larry Cornelius; and a sister, Mary Newcombe.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elathia and David Hodges, Ada; daughter, Elesia Kirk, Mill Creek; a son, John Clark, Mill Creek; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Gayle Clark, Mill Creek; grandson and his family, Randall, Emily and Riley Clark; grandson and his son, Matt and Braden Clark; granddaughter and her family, Jahna, Michael, Landon, Kyler and Bryher Buckaloo; grandson and his family, James, Sabrina and Josalynn Bond; grandson, Trey Bond; granddaughter, Kami Kirk; sisters, Charlene Baldwin, Vickie Daily and Edith Herrera, all of Yuma, Ariz., Sandra Cornelius of Chino, Calif.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Bearers are Trey Bond, James Bond, Matt Clark, Ronald Aduddell, Josh Aduddell and Michael Buckaloo. Honorary bearer is Randall Clark.
