Funeral service for Norma Jean Malone, 76, Ada, is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada. Officiating is Mark Welch.  

Ms. Malone died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at a local hospice clinic in Round Rock, Texas. She was born Feb. 6, 1937, in St. Louis, Mo., to Clyde Thomas Eads and Gladys Elizabeth Beynon Eads.  

Ms. Malone graduated from Beaumont High School in St. Louis, Mo., in 1954 and attended college at Harris Teacher’s College in St. Louis, Mo.  She moved to Ada in August 2000 from Midland, Texas, and worked as a legal secretary for Deaton, Davidson, and Kessinger Law Firm.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Michele Malone , Cedar Park, Texas; and one daughter, Elizabeth Malone, Chicago, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Gladys Eads; and one sister, Bonnie Sieckmann.
