Billy Massey

Ada —

A memorial service for longtime Ada resident Billy Frank Massey, 65, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Pontotoc County Ada Agri-Plex.

He died Dec. 17, 2013, at Ada. Mr. Massey was born to the family of Albert and Rachel Massey March 28, 1948, in Ada.

He worked for Brockway Glass Company for many years.

Survivors include the mother of his three daughters, Patricia Ann Freeman; three daughters, Melissa and her husband, Scott Dennis, of Shawnee, Pamela Johnson of Ada, and Candy and her husband, Robert Akehurst, of Shawnee; grandchildren, Rooter and wife, Kylee Lee, Cassie Lee, Tyler Dennis, Dalton Phillips, Scotlyn Dennis, Alisha Akehurst, Makenzie Sanders and Hallie Gordon, Kylee Akehurst; companion and best friend, Shirley Whittiker; and her children, Diane Barnes, Donna Gilliam and David Hughes; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Glen Massey; one nephew, Frank; and an infant daughter, Candy Ann.    

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to bring an unwrapped Christmas present for the underprivileged children of Ada. Gifts can be taken to the service or Smith-Phillips Funeral Home for distribution.
