Joseph Martin

CLAYTON — Army Pvt. Joseph B. Martin has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions.  Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

He is the son of Jeff Grammer, Clayton, and Kim Martin, Oklahoma City.

 

Jacob Mudd

HOLDENVILLE — Jacob D. Mudd has joined the United States Air Force under the Delayed Entry Program. The program gives young men and women the opportunity to enlist and delay going into basic military training for up to one year.

Mudd, a 2008 graduate of Holdenville High School, has reported to Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, for basic training in November 2010.

He is the son of Kevin S. and Arnette D. Mudd, Holdenville.

 

Cody Patton

STRATFORD — Cody L. Patton has joined the United States Air Force under the Delayed Entry Program. The program gives young men and women the opportunity to enlist and delay going into basic military training for up to one year.

Patton is currently attending Stratford High School. He will report to Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, for basic training in August 2011.

He is the son of Paul D. and Shelly M. Patton, Stratford.
