Jackye Ward, MS, RN, CNAA-BC, Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Valley View Regional Hospital, was recently sought out to co-chair the initiative of the Oklahoma Healthcare Workforce Center to streamline nursing education in Oklahoma.

“This is such an important issue for our state and we needed someone who is not only a subject matter expert but who also can pull others together to get things done,” said Sheryl McClain, MS, Executive Director of the Oklahoma health Care Workforce Center. “We are thrilled that Jackye has agreed to take on this responsibility.”

Along with her important role at Valley View, Jackye has served as a past board member of the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and is a former president of the Oklahoma Organization of Nurse Executives.

Jackye was also recently inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society in Nursing. Membership into Sigma Theta Tau is by invitation only.

The mission of the Society is the support the learning, knowledge, and professional development of nurses committed to making a difference in health worldwide.
