Two people were hurt in a four-car crash Tuesday near Stonewall  on State Highway 3 just east of the Pontotoc County line.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper John Ivey said the crash occurred when a Coalgate woman slammed her Volvo S40 into an SUV which was stopped in the road because of construction.

The driver of the Volvo, 26-year-old Rebecca Lynn Anderson, reportedly wasn’t paying attention when she rear-ended the SUV, Ivey said.

The impact drove the SUV into a Chevrolet pickup which rear-ended a Chrysler PT Cruiser.

Firefighters and EMS removed Anderson from her vehicle and secured her to a backboard before placing her on a stretcher. She was taken by Valley View EMS to Valley View Regional Hospital (VVRH) and treated for a possible clavicle (collarbone) fracture, according to radio traffic.

The driver of the PT Cruiser, 48-year-old Barbara Wolf of Seminole,  was taken by Coalgate Fire and EMS to VVRH complaining of lower back pain, Ivey said. All occupants in the SUV and pickup either refused treatment or were not injured.

Stonewall police and Firefighters from Stonewall, Ada, and Tupelo also responded.
