A Yukon youth died June 17 due to injuries resulting from a wreck near Stuart on June 10.

According to a report by Highway Patrol Trooper Brad Stuteville, a 2004 GMC pickup driven by Charles Holt, 77, McAlester, and a 2007 Ford driven by Clay Spruce, 44, Yukon, were both traveling east on Highway 270 at approximately 5 p.m.

As Spruce began to pass Holt, Holt attempted to change lanes and struck Spruce.

A passenger, Clayton Spruce, 14, Yukon, was pinned in the wreckage for an unknown amount of time before he was freed by Stuart Fire Department.  He was transported by Medi Flight to University of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he died at 8:40 a.m. on June 17.

Holt was not injured and Clay Spruce refused treatment at the scene.
