SULPHUR — Two additional suspects in the burglary of the Sooner Pharmacy in Sulphur last week were arrested on unrelated charges by the Stratford Police Department Thursday, June 15.

The two 18-year-old suspects were identified as Jesse Thompson and Stephen McBride, both of Sulphur. They were arrested in separate incidents in Stratford, but during their arrests they were both in possession of pharmaceutical drugs believed to have been taken during the burglary in Sulphur.

Detective Paul Luna of the Sulphur Police Department questioned both suspects at the Garvin County Jail and obtained enough information to present charges related to the burglary to the Murray County District Attorney’s Office.

Possible charges would include: Burglary II, theft of a controlled dangerous substance and conspiracy to commit a felony. Four other possible suspects, including two juvenile males, have been arrested or questioned in this burglary.

This investigation was a joint effort by Sulphur Police Department, the Murray County Sheriff’s Office, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the Stratford Police Department.
