Two Wynnewood teenagers and two others were killed Friday in separate accidents on state highways in Garvin County, authorities said.

A woman also was killed Friday in eastern Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Michael Stewart Lee and Stella Ashley Briley, both 17, suffered massive injuries and were pronounced dead in the 12:30 p.m. accident just west of Interstate 35 on Oklahoma Highway 29, the patrol said.

Lee was driving a pickup truck east on the highway and a tractor-trailer was turning into a private drive from the road when the smaller truck hit the semi, the patrol said.

The vehicle ran off the side of the road and Lee’s truck burst into flames, troopers said. Lee and Briley were pinned in the wreckage for about an hour before Wynnewood firefighters cut them out, the patrol said.

Dmitri Andre Thompson, the driver of the semi, was treated at the scene and released.

In another Garvin County accident, Rickey D. Richardson, 46, of Stratford, and Roland L. Latham, 45, of Moore, were killed when their cars collided on Oklahoma Highway 19 near Stratford, the patrol said.

Richardson’s car was headed west on the highway when his car ran off the road and he overcorrected, bringing the vehicle back onto the pavement. The car veered into the eastbound lanes, colliding with Latham’s vehicle, the patrol said.

Both were pinned for about 30 minutes before Ada firefighters freed them. They suffered massive injuries and died at the scene, troopers said.

In another accident, a Hulbert woman was killed when her sport utility vehicle left a Cherokee County road and hit a couple of trees.

Sunny Elaine Britt, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 4:13 p.m. accident about 15 miles north of Tahlequah on Friday, troopers said.

Britt’s SUV ran off the road, struck a tree, spun around and rolled before hitting another tree, the patrol said.

The impact threw her eight feet from the wreckage, the OHP reported.

Britt wasn’t wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
