A man wanted by Ada police for allegedly stabbing two people Tuesday was taken into custody Wednesday.
Detective Tracy Jackson said Kaelin Grant Gastineau, 20, Ada, surrendered himself to authorities in Pauls Valley while staying with relatives.
Gastineau is wanted for questioning in the stabbings of Jeremy Leslie and Juleigh Dickerson — Gastineau’s pregnant ex-girlfriend. The victims were stabbed multiple times while they slept at a residence in the 500 block of W. 13th just after 4:30 a.m., according to police. Both victims told police Gastineau was the perpetrator.
Jackson said Gastineau was interviewed about the stabbings but could not reveal details of the interview. Leslie and Dickerson are in fair condition at Valley View Regional Hospital in Ada, according to a hospital spokesperson. Gastineau was arrested on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and is being held in Pontotoc County Justice Center without bond.
