ADA — St. Joseph Church, 1300 E. Beverly, hosts its 56th annual Smorgasbord dinner and bazaar. The dinner and bazaar will be held in the parish hall Sunday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. and from 5-7 p.m.

Members of the parish chairing the various committees for this event are Carol Naberhaus, Pam Catalano, Dana Belcher, Debbie Gibson, Kay Bishop, Kyra Childers, Matt Berning, Stephanie Whitney, Marcia and Mel Melton, Dennis Fine, Kathy Baker, Catalina Celaya, Consuelo Medrano, Collean Frederickson, Skip Wilson, Mary Krause, Georgia Malone, Dan and Ann Zimmerman, Ann Maxwell, Elizabeth Witherow, Patricia Butler, Julie Welch, Becky Crabtree, Helen Miller, Gloria Kemp, Jane Ritchie and Roxanne Taylor.

Sponsors say favorite dishes include the traditional turkey and dressing, Swedish meatballs, broccoli casserole, garlic cheese grits and a variety of salads. The popular tarts with pumpkin and cherry filling and chocolate cake will round out the meal.

The bazaar will offer a variety of crafts and homemade baked goods such as candies, cookies, cakes, breads and pies on display in the John Bloms Room.

A raffle will take place with a chance to win a three-panel Nativity fireplace screen. Tickets are $1 each. Drawing will be held at the end of the evening shift — need not be present to win.
