Police were searching Sunday for three people after a shooting inside a crowded Oklahoma mall left one teenager dead and several people injured.

At least one person remained hospitalized a day after the shooting at Arrowhead Mall in downtown Muskogee, a hospital spokesman said. The area had been crowded with visitors Saturday for the city’s annual Azalea Festival.

No arrests have been made, but investigators said they were looking for three people — Daniel Jermaine Anderson, 20, along with Michael Mayberry, 16, and Anton Nelson, 17 — in connection with the death of Jarrod Reed, 17, of Muskogee.

The three apparently knew Reed, and the shooting may have been gang-related, police spokesman Pedro Zardeneta said.

Witnesses described the Saturday shooting as a gunfight involving several men.

Reed was declared dead at Muskogee Regional Medical Center, police said. Three other people were taken to the hospital but only one remained hospitalized Sunday, said spokeswoman Laurie Hoog. She said the person was stable.

A person shot in the hand was treated at Muskogee Community Hospital and released, nurse Brenna Hyslop said Sunday. A spokeswoman at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa said she couldn’t release information about a possible victim taken there.
