OKLAHOMA CITY — Senior Day at the Capitol will be Monday, April 10, at the Oklahoma State Capitol Building in Oklahoma City. Theme is year is “Making Our Community More Livable for Older Oklahomans.” Guest speaker will be Dr. William Thomas, author and international authority on geriatric medicine and eldercare. Dr. Thomas is also the founder of Eden alternative nursing home care concept and a consultant for AARP. Booths will open at 8 a.m. on the fourth floor rotunda of the State Capitol building. Legislature opening and introductions begin at 9:15 a.m. in the House of Representative chambers. A senior rally will be at 11 a.m. on the Capitol steps, with lunch following the rally. All events end at 1 p.m.
