ADA — An Ada family was robbed at gunpoint in their home and police are searching for suspects.
Ada Police Detective Kathi Johnston said the home invasion occurred at a house in the 300 block of N. Cherry just before 1 a.m. Monday when two men broke into the house and stole several items. No one was injured.
Police are asking for the public’s help. Johnston said the first suspect is a short Caucasian male approximately 5’7 to 5’8 with blonde hair, and a buzz-style cut. The second suspect is a tall African-American male approximately 6’1 to 6’2 with a slender build with short hair.
Both men are in their late teens to early 20s and were wearing white tank-top undershirts, Johnston said. One had a backpack.
“The white male held the occupants at gunpoint (semi-automatic pistol) inside the house while the black male loaded stuff into the backpack,” Johnston said.
She said the thieves stole a laptop computer, an Xbox gaming system with games and a 46” television.
