ADA — The city of Ada has asked a design engineer to prepare final plans for residential street pavement reconstruction and drainage improvements in the west half of the Hammond Heights / Washington Heights Subdivisions.

City officials say they have been soliciting comments on the proposed construction and have come to a consensus. The design services to be provided by Tetra Tech will include street rehabilitation and reconstruction, drives, sidewalks, signing and striping in combination with drainage and storm sewer improvements to remediate flooding issues in this neighborhood. City forces will replace water and sewer lines as determined and identified during design. This project is part of the Proposition One sales tax and will be completed in phases over several years. A public meeting was held to help identify the construction priorities in order to streamline the design process, as well as to solicit input on important design concepts.

City officials say throughout this process, public involvement and informational availability will remain a high priority. Another public meeting will be scheduled early in 2007 and advertised in advance, the exact day and time to be determined at a later date. On behalf of the City of Ada, Tetra Tech will be accepting written comments on the Hammond Heights / Washington Heights Subdivision Project. To submit comments, use one of the following means: (1) by mail to Tetra Tech, 302 SW 7th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73109; (2) by fax to (405) 606-8601; or (3) by email to heuselj@fhc-inc.com.
