Team West will be holding a motorcycle poker run to benefit Relay For Life April 30.

“We are dedicating the ride in the memory of my daddy, Charles West, our extended family member, Harvey Huckeby, and a great friend of Dad’s, Pops,” said Maria Howeth of Team West.  “We are also riding in honor of Mark Huckeby who was only given a week to live eight years ago.”

Along with Mark Huckeby, Hondo Huckeby will be another survivor at the event.

Participants in the run will start at West Sales in Ada and pick up cards at O’Dell’s Restaurant in Asher, J.P. Outfitters in Purcell, Leonard’s Super Stop in Pauls Valley, EZ Mart in Stratford and end up with a full poker hand back at West Sales.

Registration fees are $20 for drivers, $10 for passengers and $5 for additional hands.

Registration for the ride begins at 8:30 a.m. and a benefit breakfast will be held for $5.  A hamburger cookout will begin at 2 p.m. and is free with rider registration.  Others may partake in the hamburger cookout for $5 per person.

The first motorcycle out will leave at 10 a.m. and the final check in time will be 3 p.m.

T-shirts are available for a discounted price of $15 until April 22.

Shirts will also be available on race day for $20.

“It’s going to be a great ride for a great cause and we want to see everyone there to support the fight against cancer and enjoy some great fellowship with all of the participants,” Howeth said.

A rain date for the event is scheduled for May 7.
