ADA — A mobile home park maintenance man, accused of using local children to pose for photographic pornography, was formally arraigned Thursday in a Pontotoc County court.

Kenneth “Kenny” Francis Pierce, 60, Ada, pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawful possession of child pornography, aiding or soliciting a minor child to perform, and making child pornography.

Pierce was arrested in late September after an investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s department reportedly revealed several home-made nude photos of children in Pierce’s possession.

Reports indicate the sheriff’s department was originally alerted to the alleged abuse by the grandmother of a 10-year-old female victim. According to reports, the manager of the mobile home park in which Pierce lived and worked provided law enforcement pornographic photos of neighbor children he found in Pierce’s possession.

Undersheriff Joe Glover led the execution of a search warrant of Pierce’s trailer and discovered multiple polaroids of unclothed children and specific bed sheets used in some of the photos.

During Thursday’s arraignment, Assistant District Attorney Chris Ross read, on behalf of the state, Pierce’s recommended sentence of five years on count one, thirty years on count two, and ten years on count three.

District Judge Thomas Landrith announced Pierce’s jury trial is scheduled for March 23.

Pierce has been held in the Pontotoc County jail on a $100,000 bond awaiting trial.
