A Pauls Valley man was injured after trying to avoid debris in the roadway Friday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Heath Green said Bobby W. King, 48, was driving a 1994 Chrysler west on State Highway 29 when he encountered the debris at 6:22 a.m.

“The driver took evasive action to avoid debris on the roadway, ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected left, went into a broadslide and rolled one-half time, striking a tree,” Green said in a report. “Driver was pinned for approximately one hour and was extricated by (Wynnewood firefighters).”

King was taken by Air Evac to OU Medical Center  in Oklahoma City and admitted with head, trunk internal and leg injuries. Green listed him as stable. He was wearing a seat belt, Green said.
