A McLoud man was injured Sunday in a two-vehicle collision northwest of Ada.
The wreck occurred at the intersection of state Highway 59A and County Road 3425, four miles north and 11 miles west of Ada.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Wil Hayden said 27-year-old Adam Vanlandingham of Stratford was driving a 2008 Ford F150 east on SH 59A when he turned north onto CR 3425, and failed to yield the right of way and pulled into the path of a 2011 Honda motorcycle driven west by 20-year-old Jerome Carter of McLoud.
Carter was taken by Air Evac Lifeteam to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with head, internal, arm and leg injuries.
Vanlandingham and a passenger in the pickup, 23-year-old Alix Vanlandingham of Stratford, were not injured.
Hayden said alcohol consumption is suspected in the cause of the collision, but the matter remains under investigation.
Pontotoc County sheriff’s deputies, Mercy EMS and firefighters from Oil Center and Ada also responded.
