A Mill Creek teen was killed after being hit by a train Saturday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tyler Jack said Brently Ryan Farmer, 19, was lying on railroad tracks when he was run over by a freight train. The incident occurred at State Highway 1 and Jewell Sykes Road at 4:49 a.m.

Jack said authorities do not know why Farmer was on the tracks.

The train’s conductor, Mike Pierce, 61, Madill, told Jack he saw Farmer on the tracks and tried to stop. Farmer was taken to Clark’s Funeral Home in Tishomingo pending further arrangements.
