Alcohol was reportedly a factor in a single vehicle accident Saturday, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Keith Teel.

Brandon D. Lamoni, 24, Stonewall, was driving on a county road five miles north and one mile west of Stonewall when he ran off the road and overcorrected just before 7:30 a.m.

The 2004 Chevrolet pickup he was driving ran into a culvert and crashed into a pipe fence, Teel said.

Lamoni was ejected an unknown distance. He was taken by EMS to Valley View Regional Hospital and admitted in good condition with head injuries.

Based on his investigative opinion, Teel listed the cause of the accident as driving under the influence. Lamoni was not wearing a seat belt, Teel said.
