A Mead man was seriously injured after crashing a motorcycle near Wapanucka Saturday night.
Charles Rushing, 40, received multiple injuries when he crashed a motorcycle while trying to avoid a deer, according to a teletype by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Ashley Hampton.
Rushing was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson north on State Highway 48 when a deer ran out in front of him at 10:24 p.m. The teletype did not say whether Rushing hit the deer or ran off the road.
Rushing was taken by Eagle Med to OU Medical Center (OUMC) in Oklahoma City and admitted in critical condition with head, trunk and arm injuries. The teletype did not say if Rushing was wearing a helmet.
On Monday, a spokesperson for OUMC said Rushing was discharged from the hospital.
