ADA — A man who fled from police crashed the vehicle he was driving and was injured Friday.
Tommy L. Harmon, 26, Maysville, was attempting to elude Davis police when he ran off a county road one mile west of Davis, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Jay Clary said in a report.
“(He) failed to negotiate a curve, departed the roadway to the right, entered in to a slide, vaulted over a creek, struck an embankment and overturned one-half-time,” Clary said.
Harmon and a passenger, 19-year-old Sonny L. Harmon, were pinned in the wreckage for 30 minutes before Davis firefighters freed them. Both were taken by Air Evac to Norman Regional Hospital and admitted with head, trunk internal, arm and leg injuries.
They are listed as stable. Clary said seat belts were not in use, speed was the cause for the crash and the condition the driver is under investigation.
