A man accused of raping a woman in 2008 was arrested Friday.
Ada police arrested Timmie Lee Runnels, 21, Ada, after a woman came forward with new information about an alleged rape. The alleged victim reportedly saw Runnels in court and told police he sexually assaulted her in 2008.
An affidavit filed by Ada police said the alleged victim reported the crime to an agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation in December 2009.
She said the alleged assault occurred at a residence in the 2700 block of N. Townsend. She said Runnels held a gun to her head while the alleged assault occurred.
Runnels was interviewed by police and said the allegations are false. He was arrested on suspicion of first-degree rape and is being held without bond.
