ADA — Preparations are under way for the annual Fourth of July activities to be held in Wintersmith Park.

According to John Garber, coordinator for Ada’s Fourth of July activities, Ada should be prepared for a day of fun and laughter.

“There’s no movie that you’ll go pay $5 to see, that will make you laugh harder than what we do on the Fourth of July celebration,” he said. “There’s more laughter on the Fourth of July in Ada, than there is any day of the year.”

Garber listed the day’s events, which are scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m.

“I think it’s real significant that all the groups come together as a team,” Guy Milner said. “Even various service clubs who make a lot of laughter and jokes out of being competitors through the year, we all come together and cooperate on this thing and just have a great time.”
