Three Stonewall residents were injured in a two-vehicle wreck Monday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Mark Benedict said the wreck occurred on a county road five miles south and two miles west of Tupelo at 2:20 p.m.

Jerry Sanders, 56, Stonewall, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet pickup east when he went “left of center,” Benedict said. Kyle Brown, 48, Stonewall, was driving a 2003 Dodge van west and swerved to avoid Sanders.

Sanders’ pickup hit the van in the driver-side door. Brown was taken by Air Evac to Norman Regional Hospital. He was admitted in serious condition with trunk internal and trunk external injuries.

Sanders refused treatment at the scene. Two passengers in Brown’s vehicle, Kim Brown, 51, Stonewall, and John Leatherman, 32, Stonewall, were taken by EMS to Valley View Regional Hospital and admitted with trunk external injuries.
