ADA — A preliminary hearing was set Thursday for a man accused of supplying drugs which police say led to the overdose deaths of two people.
Cody Glenn Weddle, 20, is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of Anastasia Jewell, 22, Ada, and 22-year-old Andrew Akerman of Konawa.
Jewell and Akerman died after ingesting a hallucinogenic drug authorities suspect was Bromo-DragonFLY at a Party near Konawa May 7. Officials said Weddle ordered the drug — which he believed was 2C-E — over the Internet from a company based in China.
At a preliminary hearing, officials attempt to prove a crime has been committed and the defendant committed the crime.
