ADA — Several guns were reported stolen from an Ada residence over the weekend.

The burglary occurred at a home in the 500 block of W. Sixth, according to Ada Police Officer Phillip Wood. He responded to a call there Sunday morning.

"(The homeowner) called and reported that her residence had been broke into overnight,” Wood said.

The homeowner said she left the house Saturday evening and when she returned Sunday, noticed a door was forced open.

“Suspect(s) used some type of object to pry on the back door, but then forced the door open, damaging the door facing and the door,” Wood said. “Suspect(s) only went to the northeast bedroom of the residence. This bedroom door was locked and had been forced open also.”

Wood said a closet door secured with a padlock was also broken into and several rifles were taken. The guns listed included a Winchester 30-30 lever-action, a Marlin 25-20 lever-action and two .22 caliber rifles.
