ADA — Frank Dicus celebrated his 90th birthday with his family Sunday at the Oak Hill Golf and Country Club. Mr. Dicus was born in Walters, Okla. Jan. 24, 1916. He worked in the oil fields of Texas and Oklahoma before settling in Ada. He was in the grocery business in Ada from 1943 to 1978, adding Dicus Cycle and Marine to his business enterprises in the early 70’s. He retired in 1992.

Mr. Dicus has always enjoyed working outdoors and still spends his afternoons on his tractor or four-wheeler taking care of his 30-acre home site.

Helping Mr. Dicus celebrate his birthday were his wife Betty, his children, Jim Dicus and his wife Ann, Cindy Halpern and her husband Steve, his brother Jack Dicus and his wife Barbara from Fillmore, Cali. His five grandchildren and their families attended including four great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Savage also attended the celebration.
