ADA — Two Ada teens were hospitalized and four other people were treated for minor injuries after a Saturday night traffic accident south of Ada near Latta.

Investigators say the crash occurred when the driver of one car failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

According to a report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Matthew C. Gray, 17, Ada, was eastbound on a county road, one mile south of Ada, and was at the wheel of a 2002 Honda Civic.

Passengers in the vehicle included Jonathan W. Sutton, 16, Ada, Scotti N. Carter, 17, Ada and Kristin A Baugh, 15, Ada.

Gray’s vehicle reportedly failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck by a 2003 Toyota SUV driven by Shari L. Morrison, 45, Roff.

The collision ejected Carter approximately 57 feet from the vehicle’s point of impact.

Gray and Carter were transported to Valley View Regional Hospital by Valley View EMS, where they were admitted in stable condition with head, trunk external and trunk internal injuries.

Sutton, Baugh, Morrison and Morrison’s passenger, Paul A. Morrison, 46, Roff, were all treated and released at Valley View.
