Five area teens were injured in a single vehicle accident at 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to a police report by Officer Jason Mosley, Robert Christopher Quarterman, 19, Ada, was driving a 1997 Toyota Corolla north in the 2200 block of N. Broadway when he ran off the road.

The out-of-control vehicle crossed Napier Street and traveled 30 feet before crashing into a concrete block building owned by Woods Dirt Contractors. Based on Mosley’s investigative opinion, he listed the accident as alcohol related.

The police report did not list the extent of any injuries but it was confirmed by a friend of two of the victims that Quarterman and four passengers were injured in the wreck.

Four of the injured were minors and it is Ada police policy not to release the names of minors, however, a friend of the family said a medical fund has been set up at Citizens Bank for Darrius Jamal Ferguson, 15, and Desmond Ferguson, 16, both of Ada, who are currently at OU Medical Center.

A spokesperson at OUMC said Darrius Ferguson is in fair condition, and Desmond Ferguson is in critical condition.

Quarterman, Banner and the other injured passenger were reportedly taken to Valley View Regional Hospital. VVRH does not release condition information. Another friend of one of the families said one of the injured is Terrance Dewayne Banner, 17, Ada.

Donations can be made at Citizens Bank for the Ferguson brothers medical fund. AEN will continue to follow the story and release details as they are available.
