ADA — The Chickasaw Nation and East Central University will host a free family concert in Ada next weekend.  On June 30, the Chickasaw Nation will host the Red White and Blue Music Fest, an evening of live music at the Kerr Activities Building on the ECU campus.  The concert runs from 4-9 p.m. and closes with a fireworks show behind the ECU stadium.

The concert features a wide variety of music from soft rock to country and Latino pop. Headliner for the Red White and Blue Music Fest is Arkansas native Joe Nichols, who exploded into country music with two multi-week number one singles from his Universal South debut.  “The Impossible” and “Brokenheartsville” pushed album sales to gold, garnered four Grammy nominations, landed him on major tours and put his face in front of millions on major national television outlets.

Nichols is joined by Ada resident Clancy Davis, up and coming artist Jessica Matos, as well as the soul-filled sounds of Josh Daniels and the mellow rock of The Ethnix for the 5-hour live music concert.

Food and beverages will be available and proceeds will benefit ECU.  Additional parking will be located at the ECU football field.  No alcoholic beverages are allowed.
