DAVIS — Edgar Cruz comes to Davis to perform at an Americana Unplugged concert benefiting the Davis Parents Association on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. at the La Ville Inn on Main Street.

Named Oklahoma’s Best Performing Artist/Acoustic Guitarist five out of the last ten years by the Oklahoma Gazette, Edgar Cruz gives over 200 live performances a year, mesmerizing audiences everywhere with his unorthodox style. In addition to being the recipient of many industry awards, he has been an honored headliner for more than 10 years at the annual Chet Atkins Festival in Nashville, has toured throughout the U.S., Europe and South America, and has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS and PBS-affiliate television and cable stations.

In 2004, OETA, Oklahoma’s PBS affiliate, aired a documentary about his life and career titled “Spanish Blood: The Guitar Music of Edgar Cruz” as part of its “Gallery” series showcasing his artistic contributions to the state’s cultural life.

The Davis Parents Association supports the Davis Head Start program by providing financial support for operating expenses, field trips, and children’s activities such as the yearly Pumpkin Patch and Christmas party.
