The final concert of the semester for East Central University’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble is set for Sunday, April 23, 3 p.m. in the Ataloa Theatre of the Hallie Brown Ford Fine Arts Center.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The Symphonic Band will feature student conductors. Their program will include: “In Tantum, Lux” by Todd Stalter; Yellow by Robert W. Smith; “First Snow” by Christopher Bragg; “Winds of Courage” by Randall Standridge; and “Can’t Stop the Feeling,” arranged by Paul Murtha and “Skydive” by Chris Bernotas.
The Wind Ensemble program will include: “Children’s March,” “Over the Hills and Far Away,” by Percy Grainger and edited by Dr. Mark Rogers; “Concertino for Trombone and Wind Orchestra” by Ferdinand David and arranged by Denis Wick and “Armenian Dances, Part I” by Alfred Reed.
