It takes a chair for East Central University President John Hargrave to properly welcome ECU’s new 6-foot-6-inch football recruits eye to eye. ADA — East Central Universityis gearing up for Tiger football with aFirst and Goal Round Table at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at Oak Hills Golf and Country Club and the annual Orange and White game Saturday, April 24, at Norris Field.

The First and Goal Round Table will give football supporters the opportunity to learn about the future of the program from ECU President John Hargrave and head football coach Tim McCarty. They also can learn about the players and watch film from spring practice.

 “We want to share what we are doing with the community,” McCarty said. “We have a very promising recruiting class, and spring football has been extremely productive. We are excited about the program’s growth and we want our supporters to see the plans. We want them to share in our excitement.”

Tiger football will kick off its season Sept. 4 at Fort Hays(Kan.)State University, McCarty’s alma mater.
