ADA — Eighty-three students have been inducted into East Central University’s chapter of Alpha Chi, a national honor society. Sponsor Dr. Trisha Yarbrough and co-sponsors Dr. John Yozzo, Dr. Susan Payne, Dr. Anne Davis, and Dr. Pat Fountain conducted the candlelight ceremony.

Students selected an influential faculty member to pin them during the ceremony which was attended by more than 200 faculty, students and families.

To be eligible for Alpha Chi, students must have been in the top 10 percent of the junior or senior class and have a minimum grade point average of 3.5.

The objectives of Alpha Chi are to promote and recognize superior scholarship and those elements of character that make scholarship effective for service.
