ADA — Oklahoma Arts Council and ACT II will be sponsoring this summer's Youth Drama Camp May 24 through June 18.

The summer production will be an adaptation of Barbara Robinson's "The Best School Year Ever," written by Director Vickie Reifsnider.

Drama Camp is available for children from ages 5-18 (very flexible) with the cost of $250 per child. The family discount includes $250 for the first child and $100 for each additional child. Children will attend day camp May 24-26 at Ada Community Theatre from 1-4 p.m. On May 31, they depart Ada and attend overnight camp at the Tishomingo Youth Campsite located on Pennington Creek, and stay until June 3.  Campers will return June 6-10 to the Tishomingo Youth Campsite.  Campers rehearse June 12-14 on the stage at ACT II from 1-4 pm and then hold performances for the general public June 15-18.

"The Best School Year Ever" has a cast of over 40 characters. The play is the sequel from the 2005 Christmas Play titled "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever."  The Herdman family keep Woodrow Wilson School hopping with excitement with their outrageous money making ideas and practical jokes.

For more information about enrolling a child in the Youth Drama Camp, contact Vickie Reifsnider at (580) 436-3235 or (580) 421-5122.

Any local summer schools who want to book the early daytime performances on June 15-18 need to contact Vickie Reifsnider ASAP.  Accommodations will made for summer school children to attend the summer show.
