WYNNEWOOD — A Davis man is in fair condition in an Oklahoma City hospital after a one vehicle accident in Garvin County Monday afternoon.

James Earl Lee, 62, Davis, was driving a 1975 Jeep about 2:45 p.m. on a county road approximately six miles south of Wynnewood when he apparently blacked out, ran off the roadway and crashed into a tree, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Lee was transported by Garvin County Emergency Medical Services to Pauls Valley Hospital. Later, he was taken to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center, where he was treated and admitted in fair condition with leg injuries, troopers said.

According to the accident report, OHP investigating trooper Kevin Crawford of the Garvin County detachment of Troop F, Ardmore, said the cause of the accident was medical-related.

Lee was not wearing a seat belt, the report said.

OHP was also assisted by Wynnewood firefighters.
