ADA — On Feb. 25, the Cowboy Crisis Fund will host it's fourth annual Auction, Dinner and Dance at Ada Elks Lodge. This year's primary recipient is 16-year-old Wyatt Fisher, Byng, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last year.

Remaining funds will be used to financially assist other community residents who are faced with a medical crisis. The Cowboy Crisis Fund was able to help more than 30 people from Ada and the surrounding area in 2005.

"We would like to help even more folks this year,” said Bill Montin, executive committee chairman.

“This is a worthy cause and it touches the lives of local friends and neighbors," Montin said.

Although the event is sold out, the organization needs cash donotions and items for the benefit auction. A silent auction will be open for bidding at 6 p.m. when people first arrive. The live auction of larger items will take place later in the evening.

Businesses or individuals wanting to donate may contact Bill Montin at (580) 436-1800, Tom Roberts at (580) 332-3070, Ext. 113, Herb Darras at 332-3001, Sarah Young at 436-7845 or drop items off at the Law Offices at 525 S. Mississippi.
