ADA — Prime Timers met June 20, 2006, at 6 p.m. at J.D.’s Cafeteria with Ted Savage presiding.
There were 38 members and eight guests in attendance. Leonard Briley gave the invocation.
Savage welcomed guests Betty Newby, Shirley Davis, Kourtney West, Sam Estes, Taylor Flowers, J.W. and Ladell Brown, Mattie Ruth Whitlock, and special guest entertainer Clancy Davis.
Davis entertained the group by singing several George Jones county and western classics.
The group sang “Happy Birthday” to Paul Sandmann and Glendora Van Dusen,and sang “Happy Anniversary” to Lloyd and Mary Ann Briggs.
Minutes of the May 16 meeting were read and approved. Treasurer’s report was also given.
Alba Little read Burma Shave ads and Mary Sue Roberts entertained the group with events in the life of Minnie Pearl and read some of her amusing stories.
Chrystal Johnson, soloist, will entertain at the July 25 meeting.
