Christmas lights were lit up Tuesday evening at Wintersmith Park.
Tom Runnells, volunteer director of Ada Area Lighting Committee, said the opening night drew between 200 and 220 vehicles.
“That’s a good night,” he said. “We did well. We want to do better.”
Runnells said the last night the lights will be up is Dec. 31.
The donation shack will be open at the entrance to the park from 6 to 10 p.m. Donations go to purchase new lights.
Runnells said he’s still looking for volunteers to work the donation shack.
“I need somebody for Thursday and Friday badly and I need someone for Dec. 2,” he said.
To volunteer, phone Runnells at (580) 399-4518.
