Students from Byng participated in 2005-2006 school year in E-cybermission, a web-based science, math and technology competition for students in grades 6 through 9 sponsored by the U.S. Army. The eight students won a combined total of $38,000 in U.S. Savings Bonds.

I'm really proud of the work and accomplishments these teams have done," Byng teacher and team advisor Deborah Cornelison said. "They did a great job."

Jana Rowland, Director of Science Education for the state of Oklahoma and Senator Susan Paddack were on hand to present the students with awards and certificates.

"This is year two to come to Byng for this wonderful program and for recognition of Byng students," Paddack said. "You have a culture of excellence here at Byng School."
