Pontotoc County commissioners voted Monday to end a three-week burn ban following a weekend of severe thunderstorms in the county.
Commissioners tabled discussion and action on housing the city of Ada’s prisoners at Pontotoc County Justice Center. District Three Commissioner Justin Roberts said the county is currently housing the city’s prisoners and the new contract would be from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012. Commissioners tabled the item to discuss the issue with city representatives.
Commissioners also tabled choosing of a bid for a watering truck to be used by district two in order to examine the trucks being sold.
