Police have made an arrest in connection with a burglary at a local convenience store July 12.
After reviewing security video footage from the burglary at Karry Out Korner in Ada, Ada police detectives identified the alleged burglar.
“Detective (Shane) Jones and I viewed the surveillance video,” Detective Tracy Jackson said.
Jackson said he reportedly recognized the person in the footage as Zach Watham.
“I observed Watham carrying an item and then climb into the ceiling area leaving the view of the camera,” Jackson said. “During the time Watham was inside the store, his shirt was pulled over the back of his head in what appeared to be an attempt to hide his identity. His face was visible.”
Zachery Quinton Watham, 18, Ada, was later arrested on suspicion of second-degree burglary.
Police said Watham used a pry bar to lift plywood on the roof to get into the building. The owner of the convenience store, Dinh Trang, said money bags containing $7,000 and several cigarette cartons were missing from the office.
Watham was released Tuesday on $20,000 bond.
