ADA — Wanda Russell, 66, Allen, is wanted by the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office for failure to report to the jail to serve a three-year sentence with the Department of Corrections. Described as a white female, Russell may be hiding with relatives, according to Sheriff Pete Peterson.

“ She could get an additional 10 years added to her sentence for failure to ship,” Peterson said. “We would like anyone with information that would help us locate Russell to call the sheriff’s office at (580) 332-4169.”

Russell was found guilty of six counts of “disposing of encumbered property” and originally sentenced to five years deferred on each count and ordered by Judge Thomas Landrith to pay $210 in fees and $95,147 in restitution in 2001. Since then Russell has failed numerous times to maintain payments per schedule still owing $89,127, and has since received a guilty judgement regarding bogus checks for which she owes $2,795.51.

Landrith sentenced Russell to serve three years at her last appearance Feb. 13, 2006. Peterson said Russell spoke with the sheriff’s office by phone in March and was told to report to the jail March 19. Her attorney, Robert Gray, had no comment.
