A Stonewall man was injured in a weekend crash and authorities allege alcohol was involved.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Keith Teel said the wreck occurred on County Road 3645 eight miles southeast of Ada at 11:42 p.m. Friday.
Shane El Dean Stinnett, 34, was driving south in a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis when he — on at a curve in the road — ran off the road to the left and hit an electric pole and a large rock, Teel said.
Stinnett was taken by Valley View EMS to Valley View Regional Hospital and admitted with trunk internal injuries.
He is listed as stable.
Teel said Stinnett was wearing a seat belt and based on his investigative opinion, listed the cause of the wreck as driving under the influence of alcohol.
Another reported weekend alcohol wreck left two people injured in Marshall County. The crash occurred at 3:28 a.m. on Simpson Road five miles north of U.S. 70, according to OHP Trooper Jonathan Vargas.
Eddie Wayne Deal, 30, Oakland, Okla., was driving a 1999 Ford Mustang north when he ran off the road to the left and slammed into a tree.
He was taken by private vehicle to Integris Medical Center (IMC) in Madill and admitted with leg injuries. He was listed as stable.
A passenger, 28-year-old Kerri Kinsey, 28, Oklahoma City, was also taken by private vehicle to IMC and admitted with ankle injuries.
Vargas said both were wearing seat belts and based on his investigative opinion, listed the cause of the crash as driving under the influence of alcohol.
