Fixed Base Operator contracts at Ada Municipal Airport were approved for two companies at a Tuesday evening Ada Public Works Authority meeting.
Both Heartland Aviation and General Aviation Services agreed to FBO contracts from the city and were recommended by Ada Airport Commission. Council voted unanimously to accept the contracts from both companies.
Council also discussed approving Airport Minimum Standards for the airport.
Bruce Huddleston of airport commission said the commission had tabled the item until members could agree to a set of standards.
Councilman Shane Sweeney made a motion to table the item until the Airport Commission could agree on standards.
The motion passed unanimously.
Huddleston said the commission would likely have a proposal ready for council after they met two or three more times.
“We appreciate your work on this,” Mayor Darrell Nemecek said.
At a council meeting held prior to the PWA meeting, council discussed a proposed wastewater project and a Community Development Block Grant, which would have to be matched dollar-for-dollar by the city.
City Engineer Cody Holcomb said the project would add flow-meters and aeration components to Ada’s current wastewater system.
Council voted to apply for the CDBG grant, commit matched funds for the grant and adopted a “Residential Anti-displacement and Relocation Assistance Plan,” for the grant.
Council also voted to allow Millie Vance Incorporated to prepare the grant application and administer the grant, provided it was funded.
