Ada was voted one of the best small towns in Oklahoma in Oklahoma Magazine’s July 2010 “Best of the Best” edition.

Jamie Green of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce said the contest was decided by Online voting at the magazine’s Web site from Feb. 1 to March 31.

“They do separate ballots for the Oklahoma City area and the Tulsa area.  We are considered to be in the Oklahoma City area,” she said.

Ada and Choctaw followed Norman at the number one spot and Edmond at the number two spot in the Oklahoma City area.  The Tulsa area’s best small towns included Guthrie, Shawnee, Claremore and Pawhuska.

“You can read the issue Online.  Just go to,” Green said.  “You can see the July 2010 issue and read it Online for free.”
